Low Voltage Electrical Engineer

Position description

The low voltage electrical engineer will be part of the electrical engineering team.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Prepare, define and specify low voltage (LV) components like Power Distribution Panels (LVDP), electrical cabinets including PLC hardware and IPC, power supply (UPS, APS), sensoring
  • Create wiring diagrams
  • Define and specify testing requirements
  • Lead component First Piece Qualifications (FPQ's)
  • Support and assist turbine commissioning
  • Cooperate with mechanical engineering, medium voltage engineering and controls teams
  • Manage related work packages outsourced to contractors
  • Support certification activities

Education

  • Degree (BSc) or similar in Electrical Engineering

Working experience

  • 5+ Years of relevant working experience with design of electrical components
  • Proven experience in working with subcontractors/component suppliers
  • Working knowledge of LV installations, commissioning and quality requirements
  • Experience in designing electrical components for wind turbines is beneficial

Personal skills

  • The candidate must have good organizational and communication skills and must be able to work within an international, multi-disciplinary team of engineers
  • Self-starter and pro-active problem solver

Software skills

  • In-depth experience with E-Plan or similar software

Language skills

  • The candidate must have a good command of business English, written and spoken
  • Command of German language is beneficial
