Low Voltage Electrical Engineer
Position description
The low voltage electrical engineer will be part of the electrical engineering team.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare, define and specify low voltage (LV) components like Power Distribution Panels (LVDP),
electrical cabinets including PLC hardware and IPC, power supply (UPS, APS), sensoring
- Create wiring diagrams
- Define and specify testing requirements
- Lead component First Piece Qualifications (FPQ's)
- Support and assist turbine commissioning
- Cooperate with mechanical engineering, medium voltage engineering and controls teams
- Manage related work packages outsourced to contractors
- Support certification activities
Education
- Degree (BSc) or similar in Electrical Engineering
Working experience
- 5+ Years of relevant working experience with design of electrical components
- Proven experience in working with subcontractors/component suppliers
- Working knowledge of LV installations, commissioning and quality requirements
- Experience in designing electrical components for wind turbines is beneficial
Personal skills
- The candidate must have good organizational and communication skills and must be able to work within an international, multi-disciplinary team of engineers
- Self-starter and pro-active problem solver
Software skills
- In-depth experience with E-Plan or similar software
Language skills
- The candidate must have a good command of business English, written and spoken
- Command of German language is beneficial
