Senior CAD Engineer

Position description

You will be responsible for creating models, drawings, and leading the CAD team. The Senior CAD Engineer reports to the Team Leader Mechanical Engineering.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Supervise / coordinate all CAD activities
• Create models for main components (hub, main frame, generator frame, main shaft, couplings)
• Create drawings
• Maintain assembly
• Technical contact with component suppliers

Education

• Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or in a closely related discipline

Working experience

• 10+ Years of relevant working experience
• Experience in modelling integrated systems
• Experience in defining and implementing systems like cooling, air treatment, cranes is beneficial
• Experience in working with suppliers and writing of specifications
• Experience in the wind industry is an advantage

Personal skills

• Good organizational and communication skills and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers
• Self-starter and pro-active problem solver

Software skills

• SolidWorks or similar software

Language skills

• Good command of business English, written and spoken
• Command of German language is beneficial
